A 56km walking trail through the heart of County Leitrim, Ireland
The Leitrim Way is a 56km trail that starts in Leitrim Village and continues to Drumshanbo. The Beara Breifne Way follows the trail along the east side of Lough Allen for 15km until the route links with the Cavan Way at Dowra.
Along this section of the Leitrim Way, walkers have great views of Lough Allen, Sleeve Anierin, and the Corr mountains. At Dowra, the Leitrim Way connects with further routes extending to Manorhamilton via Glenfarne and Coolegraine.
The Beara-Breifne Way goes northeast and follows the Cavan Way to Blacklion, offering walkers an extended journey through stunning Irish countryside.
